About Te Ao Marama
Te Ao Marama represents a judicially-led initiative aimed at enhancing the overall court experience for all. It represents a journey toward an enlightened justice system. This initiative responds to the persistent and pressing calls for transformative change within our judicial structures. While specialist courts have emerged in response to these appeals, Te Ao Marama distinguishes itself as a comprehensive approach tailored explicitly for the District Court.
The Te Hiku Action Plan embodies a concerted effort to pave a transformative path within Te Hiku communities. It stands as a blueprint created from collective aspirations, discussions, and shared commitments toward reshaping the dynamics of the local justice system. This comprehensive plan encompasses multifaceted strategies designed to address systemic issues, promote inclusivity, and integrate Te Hiku o Te Ika perspectives into the judicial process and Family Court system.
